I am an instructor with 25 years of experience and only trained in self defence martial arts. Never felt the need to compete, just focus on self defence. I have also done Hap Ki Do for 14 months where I learnt some good joint locks which I still use from time to time. I work full time and go to University. I have completed a Bachelor of Extractive metallurgy and BSc in chemistry as part of a double degree. I also have a BSc in Physics which I completed simultaneously. I am currently doing a PhD in Mineral science (Extractive metallurgy) and plan to also do one in physics as well. I am 41 years old and have 2 worn discs in my back which I do not usually let stop me from doing martial arts although some things are more difficult than others.
